![]() "The soul today is an orphan. Her ancient parents have abandoned her; she languishes alone and forsaken in a rationalistic world that no longer believes in her. Philosophy, her father, long ago decided she did not exist and cast her aside...The church, her mother, fell unwittingly into the clutches of the extraverted, rationalistic materialism of our times and so she also abandoned the soul; she did not notice that in losing soul she lost her ability to relate to the individual to God." This is an observation by an Episcopalian priest named John A. Sanford on how the soul is missing from religion, but I'd argue it's missing from modern day spirituality too. In all my 300 hours of yoga teacher training, I never heard the mention of soul once. Every single bit of information was given on the chakras, yet when living a soul-centered life, there is but one chakra. Spiritual books address mindfulness and heart-centered living but again, the soul remains the orphan. If I can instill any tiny bit of wisdom, it would be that your soul is calling you. It is the missing link to your divinity. Are you ready to return to your true nature as a soul-centered, conscious creator? Your soul stands ready when you are - all it takes is a conscious decision to trust the wise master that lives within. If you don't know where to start, try this.
